We’ve been letting off
steam since 2006.

The Steam Machine (established in 2006) is an Edinburgh cleaning company providing ironing, cleaning and housekeeping services in and around the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh. Of course, we are happy to consider areas outwith the Corstorphine neighbourhood.

Our reputation as a premier Edinburgh cleaning company has been built on sound working practices, fastidious attention to detail and a cleaning service tailored to the needs of each individual customer. The presentation of customers’ clothes and the safety & hygiene of our customers’ homes are the core tenets of our business.

    Our cleaning service is offered on a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis to suit the needs and budget of your household. We provide all cleaning products and cloths so that you can consider the cleaning of your home to be truly delegated


  • Ironing

     Items can be folded or hung to suit your storage solutions.


  • Parcel Delivery

    Our popular parcel delivery service means that if you can’t be at home for a delivery, the delivery is made to our office and then brought to your house or office at a time to suit you. Alternatively, we can arrange for a member of staff to wait for parcel deliveries at the client’s home.


  • Key Holders

    We are key holders for most of our clients. We can therefore organise for any trades person to have access to your home when you need it.

Anything else?

We are happy to arrange for other services to take place at our client’s homes. We always strive to use a company that we have worked with before so we can recommend their work. Some services we have arranged for our customers include: window cleaning, garden maintenance and carpet cleaning.

  • Cleaning
    £15 per hour
    (+VAT)

    Unlike some Edinburgh cleaning companies, our cleaning costs are all inclusive and we bring all our own products and cloths so you have no additional expenses to ensure your home is pristine.


  • Ironing
    £15 per hour
    (+VAT)

    In one hour you can expect us to iron
    10 business shirts or blouses, or a small laundry basket of mixed household linen and garments.


  • Anything else?
